Bio
He joined SNCF Group in January 2017, as Head of Railway System Safety, within the framework of creating a Positive Safety Culture program, and the Operations Performance and Safety System Program (SSPE), for the whole SNCF Group. Frédéric was also SNCF delegate for external relationships in the context of performance, interoperability, and safety (with partners such as CER, EIM, ERA, and UIC).
He joined UIC in 2020 as Head of Operations and Safety, to promote activities and run projects dedicated to the performance of railway operations and safety culture, such as DAC for freight, and RAM + Performance as part of the ERJU program. His other responsibilities include the development of a positive safety culture and human & organizational factors (Rail HOF digital platform), the development of peer reviews in Railways, the sharing of return of experiences, and so on.
Since December 2023, he has been appointed Director of the UIC Freight Department, continuing the role of Head of Operations and Safety.
In addition to its current portfolio, the Freight Department is responsible for steering and coordinating all UIC activities relating to seamless, flexible, faster, borderless, and easier rail freight train operations, with 5 main areas of actions: Digital Platform/Exchange, Digital Capacity Management, Digital Automatic Coupling, ERTMS and ATO-Automatic Train Operations for freight.
He is entitled with a Mathematics degree, and a Masters in Transportation Economy.
